I built Karmik because the job hunt broke me first.
I graduated in November 2025, straight into mass layoffs, hiring freezes, and application portals that felt like a black hole. A software developer with no software developer job, watching the savings I'd ringfenced for “post-graduation life” turn into rent and instant noodles.
Applying manually was a productivity scam: an hour to rewrite the same cover letter for the twelfth time, guessing which keywords to inject, uploading a resume that got auto-rejected for saying “managed” instead of “led.” Three weeks of that bought me two callbacks and zero interviews.
So one weekend I wrote a few ugly scripts, read the job, feed it to a model with my resume, write a tailored cover letter, and apply in the background while I went to the gym. In a week, I had an offer.

Do I need to upload a resume?
Yes, that is where everything starts. Karmik reads your resume once and uses it for every cover letter, resume rewrite and application, so nothing comes out generic. It takes about a minute and the free plan includes it.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. No card. Every account gets 10 free generations, one pool you can spend on cover letters, resume rewrites or auto-apply runs from the desktop app. When they are used up you can stay on free or move to Plus or Pro.
How does the desktop auto-apply work?
Download Karmik for Mac or Windows, sign in and tell it what you are looking for. It searches Indeed and Seek, writes a tailored cover letter and screening answers for each match, and submits while you get on with your day. Want to check each one first? Turn on Ask me first and every application waits for your go. Already found the job? Paste the Seek link into Apply by link.
Does it work on Mac and Windows?
Both. Karmik 4.0 runs on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later, macOS 12 or later) and on Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. Intel Macs are not supported.
Will the AI lie about my experience?
No. It only uses what is in the resume you upload. The AI rephrases and prioritises, it does not invent. If you spot anything off, edit before sending.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions end at the close of the current billing period, from your billing page. No support ticket needed.
