🇦🇺 INDEED & SEEK
karmik.ai is an AI job application tool built for Australia and New Zealand. It applies on Indeed and Seek, the two boards Australian employers actually use, writes a cover letter against each job description, and runs from your own computer so it stores no job-board logins. Pricing is in Australian dollars: free to start with 10 applications, then $24.99 or $34.99 a month. Most tools in this category are built for the United States market and do not cover Seek.
The AI job application category is large and almost entirely American. That is not a criticism, it is just where the market is, and it has two consequences that matter if you are searching in Australia.
The first is board coverage. The second is that the advice baked into these tools assumes a hiring culture that is not quite ours.
Board coverage is the obvious one. A tool that covers the big American boards and employer portals but not Seek is reaching a fraction of the roles you want. Seek carries much of the mid-market and corporate hiring here, and Indeed covers the casual, hourly, regional and small-employer end. Neither substitutes for the other.
Work rights are the less obvious one, and they are structural in Australia in a way they are not everywhere. A large share of Australian job seekers are on student visas, post-study work visas or bridging visas, and a large share of Australian listings ask about work rights in the screening questions. An application that answers those questions badly, or leaves them blank, is dead before a human reads it. A tool that treats screening questions as an afterthought will quietly waste a lot of your applications.
Currency is small but real. Being billed in USD means your actual monthly cost moves with the exchange rate, and you carry conversion fees on a subscription you are already unsure about. karmik.ai prices in AUD.
This is also why karmik.ai exists at all. It was built by someone job hunting in Australia, on Australian boards, with Australian screening questions, because the tools available were solving an adjacent problem in a different country.
Read the actual job description and write to it. The value is specificity at a volume you could not sustain by hand, not generic text produced quickly.
Tune the resume for how applicant tracking systems parse it, using the wording of the listing rather than a fixed template.
Handle the application end to end, including screening questions, rather than handing the work back at the most tedious step.
Keep a record of what went out. karmik.ai keeps a receipt for every submitted application: the job, the board, the timestamp, the exact documents sent, and any screening answers.
It should not need your job-board password. karmik.ai runs the automation on your own machine in your own browser session, so there is nothing to hand over.
It should not apply to roles you would not have applied to yourself. Broad targeting is the fastest way to waste volume and end up in awkward conversations with recruiters.
It should not charge you for applications that failed. With karmik.ai, failed or errored submissions never consume quota.
